Why Don't You Teach in China?

"Why don't you teach in China?" asked...
Judy and Dave
Glendon and Shirley
Richard and Jan

(they had all done it, and absolutely loved it.)

The answer was very simple....we were not interested, we were scared, we were busy, we were intimidated, we were not world adventurers, we were simple Idaho/Utah folk, we had served two part-time service missions.

But, on that night in January at the Painted Pony, the couple at the end of the table began to tell what an incredible experience it had been for them to spend a year teaching in China.

And, once again, these total strangers asked the question, "Why don't you teach in China?"

The next morning, I (again, as I had done this two years previously) went to the page that told about teaching in China with the BYU Kennedy program.

Paperwork had to be in by February 2nd. It was January 20 something.

Studying that page, I just felt something stirring inside me, so I said,

"Allen, why don't we teach in China?"

And, the adventure began!
