Farewell to Hong Kong

We went on our final trip to Hong Kong...

We saw the world's largest bronze Buddha statue;

We climbed a gazillion steps up, then a gazillion steps down; it was worth it

Then we ate at a vegetarian restaurant run by the monks; good food...yum, yum

We also visited a fantastic museum: The Hong Kong Museum of History...where we learned the fascinating history of the great city of Hong Kong ...what an incredible story of that place.

And, then it was farewell to my favorite city in the Orient.

  1. We tramped up and down the same steps and walked through the same museum! I also remember monkeys being all over the place. Just incredible. I loved Hong Kong as well, even if we did get robbed there. We stayed in the Wan Chai area and went to British tea at a local hotel. The subway system was so easy to get everywhere. Oh we have all had the best adventures. Lucky us!
