The word OPERA was on the power point presentation screen...
"Do you know what OPERA means?" I asked.
They nodded...they knew.
But, just as a way to explain - I burst into an operatic male voice and sang in a deep bass voice...O, Solo Mia....
Then, I said, "Or in the higher range," and in my best very high falsetto voice, I sang...O, Solo Mia....
The students burst into spontaneous applause...all six classes of them!
I laughed and laughed.
"Maybe I should be an opera singer instead of a teacher," I said.
Oh, but then, I would never have had this wonderful opportunity...
